1. An introduction to war

Homework

Research one war. Write up your findings.

Include these things:

  • The name of war
  • The causes of the war
  • What happened in the war
  • The effects of war
  • Your thoughts about the war

Even better if  you include:

  • Reasons for the war (pros)
  • Reasons against the war (cons)

Notes:

  • Hand to me next lesson please
  • Please do on paper (rather than in your book)
  • This will be peer marked
  • I will also read each one and make a formative comment
  • Slides from today’s lesson are attached
  • The homework will help you understand the basic concepts (ideas) of war before we start looking at more advanced ideas.

  • Research the key events in the life of MLK
  • Look at his Christian beliefs and how these influenced him
  • Write a PowerPoint presentation ready to give to the class in the lesson after half term on 19 February 2024

  • Make sure you give reasons for and against, as well as your own view.
